VW ID.4 Is the Most Affordable AWD EV in the US

Volkswagen has revealed that the all-new ID.4 is the most affordable all-wheel-drive EV in the U.S. This means you can make the switch to the eco-friendly, stylish, and high-tech SUV without having to break your budget.

Not only does the ID.4 AWD have a low starting price, but each ID.4 model is eligible to receive a Federal tax credit. In addition, the SUV comes with free unlimited public DC fast charging on the Electrify America network for three years.

The ID.4 AWD has a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor on its rear axle and an asynchronous electric motor on its front axle. The former delivers 201 horsepower and 228 lb-ft of torque, while the latter produces 107 horsepower and 119 lb-ft of torque. When they are combined, the system reaches 295 horsepower.

The ID.4 AWD uses the rear motor in everyday driving situations and only engages the front motor in tricky scenarios, like when wheelspin occurs. Customize your rides with the Driving Mode Selection as well, which features Comfort, Custom, Eco, Sport, and Traction modes. Come rain or shine, the SUV is easy to handle and keeps its grip on the road.
