Volkswagen has added the 2021 Arteon Big Sur concept to its 2021 Enthusiast Fleet. This model gets its inspiration from the beautiful California coastline, emphasizing the adventurous nature and sleek design of the Arteon.

The 2021 Arteon Big Sur concept has a forest green wrap inside and out, giving it an eye-catching look. Rotiform’s all-green Golf R that debuted at SEMA in 2019 served as the inspiration for this color. The 20-inch Rotiform TUF-R cast monoblock wheels with Continental Tire Extreme Contact DWS 06 Plus 245/45 R20 tires add boldness to the look as well.

The California-based team that created the concept initially began with a 2021 Urano Gray Arteon SEL Premium R-Line. It took just under a month for the team to transform this sedan into the 2021 Arteon Big Sur concept. The car gained a coilover suspension to have a lower and stronger stance as well as custom front splitters, a spoiler, and side pieces. The team utilized a Voomeran Lower Valence body kit for the foundation.

“It was more of an aesthetic design makeover than a performance upgrade,” said Rory Stramer of FMS Automotive. “We wanted to keep it in the boundaries of something someone could feasibly achieve and ensure that someone who had the means and interest in achieving this vehicle could.”

The 2021 Arteon Big Sur concept and other models in the 2021 VW Enthusiast Fleet will make appearances at different enthusiast events in the U.S. If you’re interested in getting behind the wheel of the Arteon, be sure to schedule a test drive at Lewisville Volkswagen in Lewisville, Texas.
