2023 Volkswagen ID.4 Electric SUV Technology

The Volkswagen ID.4 at Lewisville Volkswagen is a technological innovation on wheels. This all-electric SUV is a groundbreaking step forward for the automaker and proof of what the future of engineering holds. Beyond its gas-free powertrain, the 2023 ID.4 carries the latest digital and driving technology that you’re sure to love.

Powered by innovation

What sets the 2023 ID.4 apart from the rest of the Volkswagen SUV family is its all-electric powertrain. This EV uses a single electric motor or dual electric motors that run entirely on the charge from a rechargeable battery pack. From an engineering standpoint, the ID.4 engine is a huge step forward for the simplification and streamlining of EV motors thanks to elements like hairpin technology. It bypasses the overly intricate cooling systems, unintuitive gearbox designs, and other norms of well-known EV competitors.

Volkswagen offers a 62-kWh battery pack or an 82-kWh battery pack for your 2023 ID.4. At its peak output, the powertrain reaches 295 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque, which is quite powerful for such a compact SUV.

With its specially designed MEB platform and available all-wheel drive system, the 2023 ID.4 offers a full-charge range spanning 208-275 miles depending on your configuration.[1] And, the SUV offers DC fast-charging capability for a major boost in around a half-hour.[2]

Keeping you connected

Everyone loves having convenient digital technology within reach as they drive. That’s why Volkswagen gave the ID.4 a huge, advanced infotainment system: the Discover Pro Max. This easy-to-use touch system incorporates a vibrant 12-inch screen on the dashboard that contains wireless smartphone pairing via Android Autoand Apple CarPlay®. The driver’s-side gauge cluster is digital also, giving precise readings and alerts

VW Car-Net® gives you access to additional digital technology that’s useful for driving in Lewisville, Texas. This subscription plan includes functions like Plus Nav EV for nearby charging station prices and traffic reports, as well as Plus Speech EV for interactive voice-recognition controls. These are in addition to essentials like remote engine start and vehicle locator through the My VW app.

Driving made easy

All of the latest driving assistance technology is packaged in the IQ.DRIVE. Other VW models offer the IQ.DRIVE suite as a paid extra, but every 2023 ID.4 comes with these intuitive features. Enjoy the help that tools like Adaptive Cruise Control, Active Blind Spot Monitor, and Front Braking Assist provide when driving through busy Dallas-Fort Worth traffic.

These functions use radars and camera sensors to monitor your surroundings and alert you to hazards, even intervening with steering or braking when necessary. Want your driving experience to be further automated? Park Assist Plus with Memory Parking; you can program and recall saved parking maneuvers to precisely perform them, like backing into your garage or parallel parking in downtown Fort Worth.

Noteworthy new features

The 2023 VW ID.4 introduces some cool new tech features that are debuting in the Volkswagen lineup. Getting the most buzz is the ID.Light, which comes on every new VW ID.4. This dashboard light strip pulses and flashes to visually communicate with you and can synch to the navigation system and Plus Speech EV vocal responses.

Although you won’t need it on a frequent basis, the innovative heated windshield can be handy on frosty winter mornings in Lewisville. This optional feature on the ID.4 uses a thin layer of silver to conduct warmth across the glass. You don’t have to wait for the vents to blow warm air anymore!

You’ll find an abundance of intuitive little features sprinkled throughout the 2023 ID.4 that show how well-designed technology can improve your driving experience. Experience the future when you take a ride in the all-electric ID.4 SUV at Lewisville, Volkswagen.
