Rebelle Rally | Lewisville, TX

For the first time, Volkswagen entered a team into the Rebelle Rally, the world’s premier all-women rally race. Driver Mercedes Lilienthal and navigator Emily Winslow took the ID.4 AWD Pro electric SUV on a 1,400-mile desert journey that spans from Nevada to California.

To get the ID.4 AWD Pro electric SUV ready for adventure, Tanner Foust Racing and Rhys Millen Racing teamed up to outfit it with the latest off-road innovations. This athletic SUV was kitted out with skid plates, custom suspension components, armor for the battery, and tubular control arms. On top of that, it sported a Thule® rack to help it carry additional cargo, along with Yokohama Geolandar all-terrain tires that helped it traverse rugged desert terrain.

While the ID.4 is a new model, it has already proven its mettle as an off-road racing machine. Another ID.4, modified by Tanner Foust Racing and Rhys Millen Racing, finished the NORRA Mexican 1000 earlier in 2021.

This capable SUV definitely has the power to go the distance. The ID.4 AWD Pro delivers 295 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque, along with impressive range figures for both all-wheel-drive and front-wheel-drive models.
