2016 Volkswagen Touareg SUV

We have two new Touareg models on the lot: Touareg Lux for $55,540 and the Touareg Sport with Tech for $50,475. This year, VW refreshed the SUV family, dropped the hybrid version and dropped the price. That’s good news for many families.

Under the hood is a throaty 3.6-liter 6-cylinder engine with all-wheel-drive. The horsepower rating is 280 hp at 6200 RPM with 266 lb.-ft. of torque at 2500 RPM. The estimated fuel economy rating is 17/23 mpg.

Luxury and comfort features in the VW Touareg include seating for five passengers, either leather or leatherette seating, power liftgate, 8-speaker audio system, cruise control and diversity control, card key power locks, adjustable seats, micro-filter ventilation system, internal HD system, leather-trimmed steering wheel and gear shift, dual-zone A/C controls, rear-view camera and a complete safety system. Last year the Touareg earned good ratings in all four safety tests conducted and an Advanced rating for the front-crash-prevention system.
