Volkswagen Care plans are designed to provide you with the peace of mind that comes from fixed parts-and-labor costs on manufacturer-recommended scheduled maintenance intervals at your local Volkswagen dealer.
What is Volkswagen Care?
The Volkswagen Care Program consists of seven prepaid scheduled maintenance plans. By paying for essential Volkswagen maintenance in advance, you protect yourself from potential increases in costs over the length of the plan. Better still, if you’re purchasing a new or pre-owned Volkswagen at Lewisville Volkswagen, you can roll the cost of your plan or plans into your financing.

These packages let you pay ahead and get the maintenance you need to stay on the road hassle-free. And when you bring your vehicle in for scheduled maintenance, you’ll benefit from the expertise of our certified VW Technicians, who use only the finest Genuine VW Parts.
What Volkswagen Care plans are available?
Volkswagen Care includes seven different options: Volkswagen Care Basic, Volkswagen Care Extra, and Volkswagen Care 40 through 80. Depending on your vehicle and your needs, you can purchase all seven packages and have all of your scheduled maintenance covered for 80,000 miles.2
The Volkswagen Care Basic plan is available for qualifying 2016-2019 model year vehicles and 2020-2021 model year electric vehicles. Your Basic plan includes maintenance visits at the 10,000-mile and 20,000-mile intervals. If you purchase a 2020-21 Volkswagen, scheduled maintenance is included for up to two years or 20,000 miles under the Carefree Coverage program.
If you own a 2014 or newer Volkswagen (excluding the Routan), you can opt into the Volkswagen Care Extra plan, which covers scheduled maintenance at the 30,000-mile mark. The remaining plans offered in the Volkswagen Care Program cover the next five scheduled maintenance visits at 10,000-mile intervals:
- Volkswagen Care 40 at 40,000 miles
- Volkswagen Care 50 at 50,000 miles
- Volkswagen Care 60 at 60,000 miles
- Volkswagen Care 70 at 70,000 miles
- Volkswagen Care 80 at 80,000 miles
All intervals follow the Volkswagen-recommended maintenance schedule found in your VW USA Warranty and Maintenance manual.
Plus, you can have a backup plan should you ever run into some trouble on the road. All 2016 and newer Volkswagen models come with 24-Hour Roadside Assistance for 3 years or 36,000 miles (whichever occurs first) that conveniently includes no-charge towing, battery jump start service, flat tire service, fuel delivery service, and more.3
What details should I know about the plans?
Volkswagen Care is available for purchase only at participating authorized Volkswagen dealerships in the U.S. Plans may be purchased either at the time of retail sale or lease of a vehicle or at any time before the first scheduled maintenance interval provided under the plan is due.
It may be possible to finance the cost of a Volkswagen Care plan as part of your vehicle loan or lease3, provided you make that decision at the time of purchase or lease. Consult with your dealership or financing source for details.
