2021 Volkswagen Lineup | Lewisville, TX

2021 is an exciting year for Volkswagen. With redesigned models and the brand’s first long-range EV arriving on U.S. soil, here’s what you can expect from the 2021 Volkswagen lineup.

Arteon

Thanks to a fresh redesign for the new model year, the 2021 Arteon is back and better than ever. Upscale features are standard on every trim, including a new leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel with digital touch surfaces, three-zone Climatronic Touch automatic climate control, and heated 12-way power front seats. The 2021 Arteon comes with more standard technology than ever before, including the Volkswagen MIB3 touch-screen infotainment system and new navigation features. The advanced Volkswagen Digital Cockpit system is also standard on every 2021 Arteon, presenting important vehicle information on a 10-inch TFT display.

Atlas/Atlas Cross Sport

The Volkswagen Atlas is getting a facelift for 2021, with a body redesign adding a three-bar grille and a faux skidplate on the bumper. The 2021 Atlas welcomes more amenities than previous models, including contrast stitching and an 8-inch infotainment screen for every trim above the base model. Volkswagen’s new next-gen telematics system with a Wi-Fi® hotspot and app compatibility is a welcome addition to the 2021 Atlas, as are additional features like Adaptive Cruise Control and a 360-degree camera. The 2021 Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport provide a combination of passive and active safety systems, as well as Volkswagen’s 4Motion all-wheel-drive system.

Golf/Golf GTI

Volkswagen’s favorite compact hatchback returns for 2021 relatively unchanged, although its sporty counterpart, the Golf GTI, now includes several new features. The 2021 Golf GTI gets black mirror caps and a rear-lip spoiler, while the GTI SE and Autobahn models get new 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels and the new MIB3 infotainment system.

Jetta/Jetta GLI

Thanks to a slight retouch and the addition of chrome exterior detailing, the 2021 Jetta is now more eye-catching than ever. The compact sedan’s basic trim gets a new, two-tone 16-inch wheel design, while higher trims gain a power-adjustable driver’s seat and the MIB3 infotainment system. The 2021 Jetta GLI offers a premium and playful driving experience without sacrificing its practicality, and also welcomes new technology for the 2021 model year. Features like the MIB3 infotainment system give you access to SiriusXM, improved voice controls, and updated navigation. The 2021 GLI Autobahn models come standard with Automatic High Beams, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Lane-Keep Assist.

Passat

With plenty of standard features, the 2021 Passat’s upscale interior remains attractive and spacious at great value. Every 2021 Passat model comes with a suite of Driver Assistance features, including Front-Traffic Assist with Pedestrian Monitoring, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. Additional safety features, such as Lane Assist, Light Assist, and Park Distance Control, are available on higher trim levels. The 2021 Passat SE has also been upgraded with a standard sunroof and new 18-inch wheels.

Tiguan

The 2021 model year sees a refresh of one of Volkswagen’s top SUVs. The 2021 Tiguan receives a new, wider grille with standard LED headlights. New driver-assistance technology includes Travel Assist, which can take over steering, braking, and acceleration when traveling under 130 mph. Equipped with an advanced four-cylinder TSI engine and standard eight-speed automatic transmission, the new Tiguan can achieve 184 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque.

ID.4

Volkswagen is one step closer to becoming carbon neutral by 2050 with the 2021 ID.4, which combines the best features of Volkswagen’s current lineup with long-range EV capability. At launch, the ID.4 will come with an 82 kWh battery for a range of 250 miles on a full charge, plus 201 horsepower and 228 lb-ft of torque. An all-wheel-drive variant of the ID.4 with 302 horsepower will be available later in 2021. Despite its overall smaller footprint, the ID.4 features plenty of space with 37.6 inches of rear legroom and up to 64.2 cubic feet of cargo volume.
