Volkswagen has quite a few legendary vehicles in its arsenal, but the classic VW Bus is in a class all its own. In its heyday, the Volkswagen Microbus was a symbol of open-road freedom and go-anywhere possibilities, connecting with generations of young people and free spirits.

At Lewisville Volkswagen, we’ve had folks asking us for years if and when the Bus would come back. And now, we have an answer for you. The first-ever Volkswagen ID. Buzz arrives in Lewisville, Texas, in 2024, and it’s sure to shock the system.

Now that you know the ID. Buzz is bringing back the Bus for an all-electric world, you’ve no doubt got a few more questions. And we’re happy to give you the answers you’re looking for so you can decide if you’re ready to make the switch.

What is the VW ID. Buzz?

The ID. Buzz is the next all-electric vehicle from Volkswagen. Styled in the spirit of the classic Microbus, the ID. Buzz promises to be the most distinctive EV available in America — not to mention the perfect choice for Texans with wanderlust. Volkswagen puts it perfectly addressing the question of which vehicles it considers to be competion for the ID. 4: “We honestly don’t think there are currently any competitors.”

When is the ID. Buzz coming to Lewisville Volkswagen?

How many people can the ID. Buzz seat?

Depending on your choice of available seating configurations, the three-row Volkswagen ID. Buzz is capable of seating up to six or seven people. That means that the all-electric ID. Buzz will offer the same max seating capacity as the new VW Atlas.

How large is the VW ID. Buzz?

In terms of size, the ID. Buzz is close to the new VW Atlas Cross Sport. Dimensions for the ID. Buzz are 192.4 inches long, 77.9 inches wide, and 74.6 inches tall with a 127.5-inch wheelbase.

Does the Volkswagen ID. Buzz come with two rows?

Volkswagen is only offering the ID. Buzz with three rows of seating because customers tend to prefer more max seating capacity, cargo volume, and battery capacity.

How much does the ID. Buzz cost?

Volkswagen has not announced pricing details for the ID. Buzz yet, but you can expect more information closer to its launch next year. However, Volkswagen has already demonstrated that it’s committed to making sure people from all walks can afford to go electric. The new Volkswagen ID. 4 is a budget-friendly electric SUV that’s stylish, fun to drive, and made in America. And it’s available now at Lewisville Volkswagen.

What colors can you get a VW ID. Buzz in?

Volkswagen will reveal more information on trim offerings, colors, and accessories closer to launch. But for now, we know that the ID. Buzz will share the colors Energetic Orange, Mahi Green, and Pomelo Yellow with the ID.4. It will also come with new colors like Cabana Blue, Indium Grey, and Metro Silver as well as a retro-riffic two-tone exterior option.

Can I reserve a VW ID. Buzz?

Unfortunately, Volkswagen is not taking reservations for the ID. Buzz. However, by signing up for updates at the Volkswagen website or contacting Lewisville Volkswagen to express your interest, you’ll have an opportunity to be one of the first to drive an ID. Buzz when it arrives in 2024.

How far can the ID. Buzz drive on a full charge?

Volkswagen will reveal estimated range figures at a future date. We do know that the VW ID. Buzz will come with a 91 kWh battery, which is larger than either battery pack option for the ID.4. A 2023 Volkswagen ID.4 Pro is capable of going 275 miles on a full charge[1] and can go from 10-80% battery capacity in about 30 to 36 minutes at a DC public fast charger.[2]

How powerful is the Volkswagen ID.4?

The all-new three-row Volkswagen ID.4 will come standard with a rear-mounted motor estimated to produce 282 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. At launch, VW will also offer an all-wheel-drive model with dual motors and an estimated 330 total system horsepower.
